Ryan Zimmerman

I love analytics and attention to detail, and I thrive when every decision is thoughtful and intentional. That’s my favorite part of my job, seeing the results of our intentional decisions. I like seeing requests completed accurately, procedures done efficiently, and processes with effective risk management. 

My journey into finance began in college. I explored a few different career paths: Engineering, automotive mechanics, photography, and vocal performance. Throughout, I was taking more and more math courses, and trading in my personal accounts. I realized that the trading I was doing as a hobby should become my career so I went to the University of Idaho for my degree in Finance, with specializations in Trading & Risk Management, and Entrepreneurship.

I work as a Trading Specialist with Financial Advocates, under Sieg’s team. I help Amy serve clients by submitting and monitoring trade requests, such as purchases, redemptions, and ongoing systematic investments and withdrawals (all per Amy’s instructions). By doing so, I hope to alleviate some of the stress of watching the tedious details, allowing Amy to put her focus on servicing her clients.

Outside of work, I manage a local children's community theater. I've been working with them for over a decade, putting on elementary school to high school productions. It's very important to me that the kids have a platform to perform and grow, I teach technical theater and singing. I'm also an avid photographer and I love going on road trips to lesser-known national parks. I hope to sell my photos at farmer's markets one day.
